el dedo gordo del pie

I'm now back home in Barcelona and trying to explain to the insurance company how stubbing my toe can have had such a ridiculous consequence.
I've got a metal pin fitted across the toe that apparently needs taking out again in 45 days. I've not plucked up the courage to take the dressings off yet to have a look but for sure theres something pointy and sharp sticking out of my toe and into the next one!
So, I've got a week or so of hopping around on crutches to deal with and avoiding Merlin's flailing feet - he seems to think my newly acquired club-foot is a great plaything.
At least the flying is less that epic at the moment so I'm not missing out on too much, although it would have been an ideal time to get to grips with speed-flying before the winter season starts in earnest.
Geoff and Judith wanted to know if I'd be OK to drive... for them! Jejeje, nice try! When I'm ready to drive I'll be able to fly again!
