I've been to the hospital here in Barcelona today to get the handiwork of the French doctor checked out. Rachael and I had been joking that whatever happened the Spanish medic would be doom and gloom about the quality of the surgery done by a 'foreigner'.
So, I was quite surprised when he pronounced it a good repair and that its healing well, and then came the 'but' - theres always a but isn't there?
In this case the but was 'why hadn't they done anything with the break on the other side of the joint?' This was all news to me but it seems that part of the bone at the tip of my toe has also broken and is now healing well, but wonky. I guess I won't be wearing high heels anymore ;-)
