My main 'project' for this year is the Womens Paragliding Open to be held in Àger in August. Its great to be working together with a group of focused friends to develop this competition but it doesn't always run smoothly! After all, we are all living in different countries, speaking different native languages and as well as all that, we are dealing with potential sponsors, the media, government departments and of course the pilots interested in joining us in this event. Some are more challenging to deal with than others ;-) but gradually we are working our way through and finding out more about our own strengths along the way. We encountered some early setbacks when commitments were made then withdrawn but we are confident in both the venue and local organisation in Àger.

FAI/civl have sanctioned the event as category 2 so there will be world ranking points up for grabs.
If you are a female pilot with some experience in cross country flying then the Womens Paragliding Open 2010 in Àger is the competition you want to be in! See you there from 21st to 28th August!! :-)

For anyone reading this -
Please help us get the word out and publish information about this competition on your own blogs and pass the information to your national federations, schools and clubs. We want as many female pilots as possible to have the opportunity to join us.
Our website www.womenspgopen.org has more details. Registration is open now.
