1 all in the weather game!

Nicky Moss in Brasil - flying with Owls! After meeting up with the Italian guys this morning and thinking that it was going to be a no-fly day we optimistically went up to launch at 12:30 as some blue sky showed through.
Clouds were building around and about so there was some small talk as to what we thought about them and their expanding proportions. After deciding it was an 'eyes wide open or we might get wet' kind of day we all flew & had lots of fun in light scratchy thermals marked by the ever present Urubu :-)
Launch in true Brasilien fashion is a big grassy ramp with a bar looking out to small green hills and coffee fields - really pretty!
After a short flight round the area the retrieve back to Poços was an adventure with 7 of us cramped like sardinas in the back of a pickup with our gliders, followed by a walk & 2 buses to get back to the centre of town.
The little chap in the foto above (Glaucidium Brasilianum the Ferruginous Pygmy Owl) was sat watching us while we tried to hitch home...he truly does have eyes in the back of his head and a name bigger than he is!
Dinner and caipirinhas with the Italian guys and now time to cruise the weather websites to find a forecast I like!
Heres one from xcskies that I don't like very much but I guess it might come true:
