Feet made for walking...

Those who know me well won't be surprised that 9 hours after leaving my hotel I am back having 'done' San Francisco!! These feet were definitely made for walking and after being sat on my ass all day yesterday I needed activity! So with my feet in the trusty Fitflops I hit the trails, west towards Golden Gate Bridge and back into Downtown. Not a moment's cheating is allowed - I have walked the whole day with just a 20minute break in the Fort Mason Park for a quick lunch. I feel good today but I'm going to ache tomorrow!
So, here's what been ticked off the list so far:
Fort Mason
Crissy Field Airfield ( Howling windy...no chance to fly today even if I wanted too!)
Golden Gate Bridge, on it, under it & next to it!
Presidio Park...( ALL of it, except the Golfing bit!! Lots of photos of flowers to come..I'm still in the 'in touch with nature' phase! )
Battery Bluffs ( All the WW2 gun emplacements)
Baker Beach
ExploratoriumExploratorium SFCity Lights Bookstore
Slot Machine exhibition on the wharf ( & met the roller-skating chap who owns it!)
China Town
North Beach (Little Italy)
Coit Tower
Grace Cathedral
Financial District
North Face Store, Nike Store & Patagonia Store ( thats the limit of my shopping tolerance! )
....Only Haight Ashbury and the Botanical gardens left for tomorrow followed by Sausilito for dinner on the shore.

I'll find out in the morning what the revised schedule is.... if it looks like being a few days delay I'll have to find somewhere out of the city to escape to. Its a nice city, probably one of the nicest I've been to so far BUT its still a city and I'm a countryside kind of girl! Maybe i'll head off to the Owens to see Kari or just chill out next to the ocean down at Big Sur.....the possibilities are endlesssssssss :-)
