An office with a view - from my window this morning :-)A sunny warm spring day in Àger. Its 09:30 and the cumi's are just starting to pop-up from the ridge into a blue blue sky. Sunshine and fluffy clouds - its nearly perfect!
The guys are just getting the Stiffy's on the car for their first flight here, a 90km triangle is planned - we'll see, I may have to do a 50km triangle inside their route to keep up!! What they can do with a rigid wing defies the imagination of this mere parachica but oh-boy, the faffing getting the thing rigged is almost beyond belief too!! I'll guess i'll really see what the Mercury III is about today, trying to keep these guys in sight!
11:15 edit: Anyone who thinks girls are slow getting ready needs to work with boys flying Stiffy's! My 3rd very relaxed coffee of the morning ...they are still deciding which bits to put in the car, if they want to go to launch, wondering what the wind is doing up there, deciding (for no apparent reason) that its over the back, having another coffee, persuading me to groundhandle the Mercury to show them what 'racing para-panties' look like, shopping for lunch stuff...and, just as the first rumble of thunder is heard from the rapidly building clouds over Montsec they decide they want to go up.......and when we get there they start whining that its on and probably has been all morning...aaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!! Tomorrow we do things MY way! ;-)
16:00 edit: Lightening, Hail, Rain - my cabin is shaking from the thunder directly overhead! Launch is completely white from the hail. No flying today.
