The snowy Pyrenees appeared to be just a few kilometres away from take-off, almost like you could reach out to touch the peaks. And with the sun setting, the rock faces above Camarasa lake glowed red. This is such a beautiful place!
There was a distinct lack of planes in Spanish airspace last night just 2 hours after the strike started....
No airspace existed until midway through this afternoon so I wasn't surprised to see paramotors whizzing around Montserrat busting the 'normal' Barcelona airspace just to see the what they could get away with and for how long - although with the military in control of the radar and control towers I'd have been worried about them playing target practice and sending a 'SAM' to sneak up from somewhere behind me.
