Winter sunshine at the circular bay of Roses
While northern Europe is disappearing under frost and snow we enjoyed a weekend of sunshine, flying, walks in the hills, walks on the beach, ice-cream and cava! :)
Saturday wasn't so good for flying so became a sociable relaxing kind of day with lots of chilling-out, eating and drinking. The forecast was for tramuntana late on sunday afternoon so since I haven't been to St. Pere de Rodes before, we set off to see if we could fly at this stunning site before the wind got to us. Unfortunately as we arrived the white-caps on the sea were moving closer though it was still light, but by the time we walked the 20minutes to the take-off the northerly gusts were enough to blow me over!

Its a beautiful place to sit and relax and chat in the sunshine though, so after a lot more chilling-out we ambled down to the car and headed for the beach for some dog-walking and a lovely relaxing afternoon in the sunshine before dinner and too much to drink! See, not everyday has to be a flying day ;-)

After some intense dog-walking on monday morning (bleary-eyed, with a hang-over and not nearly enough sleep) we were back at Sta.Brigida for a typical Sta.B playtime in the winter sky: swooping around, top-landing (most of us, most of the time ;-) !!!) and lots of general silliness, including bizarrely, johhny getting to see the knickers of his wing (explanation here!)

Its nearly christmas and yet we are still having summer-style fun in the sun! Why would anyone want to live anywhere else?!
