The town is starting to fill with pilots so its been a sociable day after 20 hours of sleep to recover from the journey.
We managed to convene an organisation meeting this afternoon and I was the only one to arrive few minutes late, seems like I have adapted to 'Colombian time' within 24 hours of being here whilst the other guys were under instructions to work on Swiss time!
There is plenty to resolve not least because of the flooding. A massive area of farmland is now underwater. I think we are going to have to be very imaginitative in the task setting next week since in many places there are no visible landing places. We need retrieve boats not buses!
In some of the few places above the flood line where I remember big landing areas last year new fruit crops have been planted to try to recover from the loss of crops closer to the river. So some of the bigger fields are now infested with posts, spikes and wires to support the young plants.
Its going to be challenging..... ;-)
