It was a night of very gusty strong wind, the 'where-are-Yooouuuuuu' bird was thumping around on the roof shouting for his mates and later, after I ran away to the beach to sleep in a hamaca, a multitude of creepy-crawlies fell from the trees above! It wasn't the most relaxing night in paradise! ;-)
I dozed for a couple of hours until the dozen reptiles scurring around in my bed sent me running bravely away for a sunrise stroll along the beach, while they departed to do whatever it is that reptiles do in the morning.
The strong wind & tide had brought in a rustic scrapyard of new drifting things ... I loved being the only person awake as red light hit the sand and the amazing sculptures created by the tides ...

sunrise over playa koralia
the only other footprints on the beach
sea sculptures
a sea-sculpted hedgehog
an overdose of textures
coconuts littered the sand after a stormy night at sea
sunrise hitting the 'sea-pipes' - a bamboo sculpture
the 'Avatar' tree
