Just 16 hours after arriving back from Colombia I found myself being scraped off a hillside into an ambulance and from there into a helicopter :(
No flying toys to blame for this one, I had a small disagreement with my truck.
Anyway, after telling the paramedics in no uncertain terms that I really didn't want to be in a helicopter, that I much preferred free-flying they wisely increased my morfine dose and deposited me in hospital in Barcelona.
Some smashed ribs, a pretty feeble lung and lots of oozing from some fairly important inside organs meant they kept me in critical care for 8 days attached to all manner of things that go beep. Finally, as I was close to becoming a mental patient as opposed to a trauma case they moved me to the surgical ward of the 'normal' hospital for the next 7 days.
Now I am 'out' and with alot of care and support from Judith recovering step-by-step.
