Exactly 5 years ago today we literally 'lost' a pilot during the Castejón de Sos World Cup. My first as an MD.
The traumatic day while his body was located and the aftermath dealing with family, hospital, morgue, funeral home, embassies and airlines and 3 months of police enquiries and judges offices were the most stressful and difficult experience imaginable.
After the competition was ended virtually everyone who was there, local organiser included, ran away as fast as their little legs could carry them ... we all wanted to escape.
The 2 guys who stayed &/or helped during the interminable week while the deceased pilot was repatriated, XM & Nikolay are now also no longer with us since 2 years.
Today, more than any other I miss you guys: Dmitry, Xavier & Nikolay. You made me laugh and you make me cry ...
