February fun in Àger

A stunning weekend in Àger with Slovene friends. Arriving on Friday lunch time to find the sleepy slovenes hanging around (literally!) in the playground at Àger camping after a hectic week of work and sightseeing in Barcelona, we did a quick turnround on getting sorted and up to launch. Blue sky, sunshine and some lively bits, had us all smiling. I was trying out the new, soon to be certified, XS Vega II and haven't had as much FUN :-) on a paraglider in years.
On saturday, in spite of an easterly forecast (not ideal in Àger) we coaxed Winston from his new house in the valley and onto Matics Vega II M. The wingovers above launch and the smiley face on landing told the story... anybody out there looking for a Gin Gangster, one careful owner?? Winston was hooked!
Sunday morning brought strange early morning goings-on outside the cabins as local balloon enthusiasts took to the (very foggy!!) sky, once they had risen a few hundred metres they were completely invisible from the ground - hopefully the sights from above the fog were more inspiring than those below.
The season is truly beginning in Catalunya as the rocks start warming in the spring sunshine.... lots more fun is planned for the next few weeks......
