Ultimo dia en Bogotá

Nicky Moss - parachica
My last day in Colombia......but its 'hasta pronto' not 'adios'.
I feel completely at home in this country and much to the delight of some of the pilots here have already inadvertently picked up local expressions and patterns of speech that no-one will understand back home!
I am in the 20th floor apartment of Lucho and Paulita eating breakfast of huevos pericos con arepas looking out over the whole city - blue sky, white fluffy clouds ( moving a bit fast admittedly!) and golden light over the mountains. Its beautiful from up here.
Later Lucho is going to take the motorbike out into the mountains and we will go visit the local flying site at Sopó before I have to get on the long flight back to Spain.
We need to finalise our report and proposals for the PWCA based on the experiences of this competition but its been fantastic to receive so many emails of thanks from the pilots and appreciative comments about the organisation. I am amazed that it seemed so tranquil on the surface...behind the scenes was certainly a different matter ;-) We were all like ducks on a pond appearing to be floating serenely but paddling madly under the surface!
The success of the event was due to the enthusiasm of the Jimenez brothers, Lucho, Felipe and Hugo who threw themselves into the task with passion, energy and the spirit to learn.
Thanks for inviting me here guys and be prepared - I'll be back very soon!
