... But the thing is that it IS FUN but, when its so cold and I get cramps in my hands after 10 minutes in the air and I can't feel anything, least of all what the glider is doing, it starts to move towards the 'no-fun' end of the scale of fun.
BUT this is my problem - flying is the BEST FUN, its the best fun a girl can have, so why can something thats so good, hurt so much for just the short amount of time when theres no blood moving in my extremities??!!
Anyway after all that, I had a fun day at Sta.B with Judith & Geoff, Mike, Rich Westgate, Wayne and Merlin (who had a doggy day doing the things dogs do when they have a whole forest to play in!)
There was snow on my car when I left my house in Barcelona - its that cold. Even the mud-islanders thought it was "a bit chilly", so I'm not being a complete girly jessie!
When its blowing a tramuntana and trees are being ripped out of the ground in the south of France you can be sure that its gonna be flyable at Sta. Brigida! It was :-)
It was wobbly and lumpy, we were waiting for the Northerly to come bite us, it was cold but it was sunny and it was very thermic for a while.
We flew, we landed we then we ran around like kids trying to get warm but there's nothing wrong with shivering in the company of good friends!
After lots of advice where to buy handwarmer gizmos and 'hasta la proximas' with the guys who go back to England tommorrow I'm back home in front of a blazing log fire, eating pizza - life's not too bad!
