Day 1: task 0

A bright but breezy start today. We arrived at the Bischling launch early but already with more wind than yesterday. The task committee agreed that it wasn't safe to task so we all went up the hill and then back down again. Its a sunny day so now there is time for all sorts of non-paragliding playing before a pilot party in the big tent tonight.

Midnight: A good afternoon mountain biking around the 'millions' of mountain tracks here. Some brave ( dumb???? ) chaps flew from the cable car launch above HQ, its didn't look too happy as the locked-in spirals and then big-ears popped in all over the sky. But all lived to fly another day.Lots of glider mods with the IP4's stuffed with extra 'strimmer cord' and line stitching of R10.2's. Perhaps I need to ask for new glider airworthiness documents tomorrow..... :-) Life in the 'FAI Police' has its challenges!
The pilot dinner in the big tent lasted until they politely asked us ( the organisation) to leave. Tomorrow (which is actually today) is another day and we may get a window of opportunity to fly.
We all need to speak nicely to the weather Gods in our bedtime prayers tonight.....
