rest-day!

The days are joining together in a blur of dusty launches, late retrieves,  non-reported-back pilots, some sleep, more dusty days on launch, meetings, meetings, meetings.......and no internet connection!
I haven't a clue what day it is....other than a rest day due to high winds.
Yesterday we moved the comp to Nikfer about 2 hours away from Pamukkale. Its a new launch just created 3 weeks ago but it looks like a beautiful place to fly. If the welcome from the town is anything to go by I am sure it will become a well-known site.

Unfortunately the winds were too strong to continue with the task so we cancelled it in the air even before all pilots had launched. Some pilots commented that the cumulus they were thermalling to became lenticular while they were climbing. There were various calls of level 3, while at the same time other pilots were still calling level 1.  Its always a hard decision to cancel a running task but I am sure it was the right one.
This morning we held the second open class technical working-group meeting of the week, tonight its the General Assembly of the PWCA.
Tomorrow the forcast shows some showers but the meteo chaps are hopeful for a short local task from the lower launch....we'll see!
