Later...... as predicted the stamping of feet and throwing of toys out the pram was reminiscent of kindergarten BUT the 1 launch gate and priority worked well, policed by Xavier wielding a big stick!
It was howling windy all morning and eventually Semih decided he needed to fly as a wind dummy just to show it wasn't as bad as pilots were believing. It worked - a late task was set. Once window opened conditions were still windy but we got the whole comp launched well before the start without incident.
Live tracking is working well as an additional safety check since we still can't seem to get ALL pilots to report back despite warnings and penaltie.
Late in the evening in HQ various pilots reported that their gliders were missing after being placed in the glider truck...the still active trackers in some glider bags located the large pile of wings waiting to be reunited with their owners who had decided not to wait for the truck to arrive and returned to hotels to shower/eat etc
Our 'guard-camel' was happily protecting the wings though probably can't be relied on to deter determined thieves!

sounds like all the pilots should come to ne next women paragliding open to learn how the things run :)
