Yesterday's rest day didn't go entirely to plan ... waking up really late was very nice, the leisurely breakfast was great and then the planned moto-bike trip up into the mountains to lago Calima was where the plan started to fail or more accurately where the bike started to fail.
2 years before we spent the rest day in the moto taller before exactly the same plan, but that time we managed to resurect the day and the bike ... this year it was not to be.
After the mechanic had chased all over Rolda to find a replacement chain and failed we had to put plan B into action! Every plan B should involve Gin Tonic, card games and lots of relaxing ... and fortunately this one did go to plan :)

Tuesday, Task 6: 131km
the big Zipper!

I think we excelled ourselves with todays 'zipper'  task to Cartago. The task-committee car jorney to take off was probably the funniest so far with Philippe loving the innuendo and generally motivating us to more silliness :D

We stretched the task to 131km by criss crossing the valley  in an attempt to make the flying a bit more tactical, but with this level of pilot and these amazing conditions here in Rolda it was just too easy again and we had about 90 pilots in goal.
Anyway the pictures on the map are getting more interesting each day ... tomorrow will be a challenge!

Pepe wants an ∞ , Russ wants an 'R', and Arnie is yet to decide ... wish me luck! :D
