The town goes completely horse crasy for a few days with shows, races, including the cabellitos de palo ( stick horses) and the piece de resistance the Cabalgata, a 1000+ horse parade through the streets starting at 3pm and finishing when everyone is too drunken to sit on a horse!
At every corner the Aguardiente comes out as friends meet swap stories and promise to meet same time, same place next year.
Its not just horses though, I am reliably informed that the Sheep rodeo is not to be missed!! :D
