... so its all over, including the shouting, the complaints and protests!

The last but one task was set for Xavier. 2 years before we made the same task at Xaviers insistence and much to Ulrics befuddlement as to how to input the thing for scoring purposes! ;)
To keep with the theme this time was no different but Ulrics stress this time was due to pilots once again throwing themselves into the flames of a caƱa fire and the subsequent need to check tracks/fotos/videos & dish out penalties.
Why in heavens name when there is no set route do some guys insist on trying to cause the most drama by flying into the only fire inside a 15km radius on a 360degree possible track!!! We know what happens in fires (yassen luckily lived to tell the tale) and yet a number of pilots did exactly what they had been told very clearly was against the rules, not for a rules sake, but for the very real possibility that we would be sending home the BBQ'd carcass of a former SuperFinal pilot.
We are not amused! ;)

Nevertheless, its been an amazing experience the last weeks here in Rolda :)
For me the weeks have been made much easier due to all the help and support from some very special people. You know who you are!

We were lucky in many ways, the weather goddess was playing nice, the task committee worked very closely together to make the most of all our opportunities but most of all, the (majority of)SuperFinal pilots were the real reason for the success.
Thanks to you all for making my job relatively stress-free, most of the time!

We are now tidying up here at HQ, dispatching pilots back to their home countries and working on the next Big project.

My next trip is to Switzerland in February for the civl Plenary were we are presenting our bid for a 2015 World Championships in Roldanillo.
A few hours after that I will be on a plane to South Africa where the 1st event of the 2013 season ... See you there!
