Ups, downs & some bumpy bits in the middle

I've had 3 flights on my new AXISpara racing-snake. She seems a pretty friendly beastie most of the time, just giving me a quick wake-up every now & again when i'm getting over relaxed!
The temperatures have been phenomenal, high 30's & into the 4o's. Its not the weather for sitting on the hill in flying suit, helmet & gloves, nor for walking far after landing.
Mount Borah has been up to her usual tricks, with the borah-shuffle, a daily occurance. Yesterday we sat on the north launch in an easterley, the east launch in a northerly, & the west launch in a southerly. In a fit of desperation after cooking in my harness for 40 minutes I threw myself off the east launch in a slight puff of breeze & thankfully climbed out to 2300m where it was pleasantly cool.
Today saw some pretty rowdy air, tiny cores that took the wing away & then left you in sink wondering what had happened. An inversion at 1000m kept us all bimbling around just above the hill waiting for a bullet to pass through it & suck us up into the cooler air before slowing down as we hit our heads on the next inversion at 1800m. There was little in the way of control, just a case of hanging on & straightening it all out later.
Hopefully conditions will continue to improve as we all get our collective acts together before the Killarney competion starting next week.
