1st task day - 05:30, I'm starting to morph into Colombian competition time, early to bed and early mornings! We are still missing a few pilots who had late / missed flights so rego starts again at 07:00....

An 82km task back and forward on the mountains and then into the flats was set with 12:25 start ( late for here!)
When we arrived at take-off we were in cloud for a while, then rain, but true to form the sun came out, base lifted a few metres and off we went.

launch disappeared, re-appeared and then got sunny! :)

Thermals were small broken and hard to find at first under a cloudy sky but gradually conditions improved though not before many pilots had landed close to the first turnpoint, including some of the local heroes!
Latest news at 15:30 is that the lead gaggle didn't make goal and all landed about 10km short.
Nothing is confirmed yet....more later
